Rice Lake has excellent fishing! Whether your fishing at the mouth of Indian River, near the Trent Severn Waterway, or just off the dock right in front of the cottage you're bound to find your favorite fishing hole. It is a very fertile lake as the weeds provide excellent cover and food for the fish population which includes Panfish (perch, bluegill, sunfish and crappie), Walleye/Pickeral, Muskie, and Large and Smallmouth Bass. When fishing in Rice Lake, bait preference and fishing style just doesn't seem to matter ... it's easy to catch fish! Maybe you'd like to enter one of the fish tournaments held on Rice Lake each year...sure, why not?! We have a fantastic fish house for filleting that BIG catch, although nothing beats the pan fish! Yum!
